BROOKLYN BLACKOUT ADDED
Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) www.abalive.com today announced that it has added a team for next season in Brooklyn, NY. “The ABA Northeast Division is really developing beautifully,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “With new teams added in Westchester, Buffalo and Brooklyn, plus a couple of additional teams working and our present teams, it should be one of our strongest divisions.
The Brooklyn Blackout is owned by Onez Onassis and Neal Booker, life long friends from Brooklyn. Onez has a background in the music industry while Neal received his business degree in management from Norfolk State University. “Together, we hope to take our Brooklyn roots and take our team to the ABA Championship in the first year,” stated Onassis. “With all the talent in the NYC area, we should have no problem getting the best players in the five boros.”
“Glad to be a part of a great league,” added Booker. “Looking forward to building a championship contender from day one. Look out for the Brooklyn Breakout next year.” The team plans to call Floyd Bennet Field home for their team, the website will be completed soon.
