Indianapolis, IN.  The American Basketball Association (ABA) www.abalive.com today approved the move of the Electric City Lions from Anderson SC to Charleston SC.  “Marquis and Azure Agnew, the team owners, did not excellent job in their first season and we fully anticipate they’ll continue to operate well both on and off the court in Charleston,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman.  “With the Greenville SC only a short distance from Anderson, this should give the Greenville Galaxy a wider fan base – and it will help us fill one of our target markets.”
The Charleston Lions will play games in both the Southeast Division and the Mid-Atlantic Division this season.  “We are really looking forward to being in Charleston,” stated Mrs. Agnew.  “I have just taken a position with the School District of Berkley County and am looking forward to sharing the ABA’s Fast Break for Reading and Bullies are Cowards programs there as well as providing the fans of Charleston with exciting professional basketball at affordable prices.”  For more information, visit www.electriccitylions.net or email  electriccitylions@yahoo.com
