Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) www.abalive.com
today announced that it will
host the ABA Mega Basketball Conference in Las Vegas, NV on Thursday, May 29 through Sunday, June 1.
The conference will feature four complete days of pure ABA action…it has been designed for ABA owners, prospective owners, coaches, current and prospective players and scouts…four complete days of education, excitement and ever lasting relationships. The event will be held at the Tarkanian Basketball Academy and the Palace Station Hotel & Casino. The purpose of the event is to educate and assist team owners,
general managers, players and dancers on how to sustain their brand – the team brand and the ABA brand – in a competitive market and to maximize their revenue and win over their community while doing it.
“The ABA has had many league meetings,” said Joe Newman, ABA CEO. “But in our 13 years, we’ve never had one on the scale as the ABA Mega Conference. The program put together by Co-Chairman Christy Lancaster, owner of the Inland Empire Invaders, and Al Smith, owner of the Orange County Novastars, far exceeds anything we’ve ever attempted before. It will be a truly amazing four days on and off the court.”
The ABA Mega Conference will include national sponsors interested in establishing relationships and financial support to ABA teams on a local and regional basis; valuable workshops for owners GMs, coaches, players, dancers, cheerleaders, sponsors as well as potential players and those individuals interested in ABA team ownership; Chambers of Commerce representing businesses throughout the US, a Celebrity Basketball Tournament, networking opportunities, Slam Dunk and 3-point shootout with cash prizes; a vendor expo with vendors from across the world, and many other things.
“The Chambers of Commerce along with the ABA have designed this Mega Conference to assist your team with the necessary support to make your business successful,” added Ms. Lancaster. “Businesses and sponsors will be on hand ready to do business. Every day will be a day to meet a new priceless relationship. And we want to be sure that we let everyone know that the ABA Mega Conference is open to others besides ABA team owners.”
“There’s no doubt that the business part of the ABA Mega Conference is going to be something really special,” commented Al Smith.”Owners will have a chance to learn about the ABA Keys to Success,
how to build fan base, revenue, and make an impact in the community, social media and other things.
But for the first time we will be focusing on the game side with conditioning drills, free agent day,
games, scouts, entertainment, and other things. It will be an event unlike any before..on and off the court.”
