Indianapolis, IN.  The American Basketball Association (ABA) www.abalive.com today announced that it has added a second team in West Texas, the Permian Basin Obvious Culture located in Odessa, TX.  “We have some great teams in Texas,” stated Joe Newman, ABA CEO. “But the West Texas Whirlwinds have been
the only team in West Texas and it has made travel difficult.  Now, with the Permian Basin Obvious Culture, we have another and hopefully additional teams there for next season.  And we are very pleased with the new owner, a young entrepreneur with a love of basketball and business, the perfect combination.”
Tyrone Moorer had great success as a player for Permian High School where he was a 2-year varsity starter with a 20.2 scoring average, 88% from the 3-pt line and 92% from the foul line.  This led to  2 All Tournament Awards and All District in 2009.   The oldest of eight kids and the father of one, Tyrone went into business opening a recording studio and a barber shop – which is where the name Permian Basin Obvious Culture
came from.
“We have some great players in West Texas, and I intend to play also,” stated Moorer.  “But I know that the basketball team is only one part of the equation and there is much to do on the business and community side also.  We intend to be a great all around organization on and off the court and are excited about this
opportunity – a dream come true – and at such an early age too.”  For more information, visit www.teamonthree.com/pbasinaba or call 432 202 8610 or email freshwayvillage@hotmail.com or visit www.abalive.com.  And watch for an announcement about tryouts and employment/9ntern opportunities.
